George I Walnut Chest On Stand

An early-18th century well-figured walnut chest on stand with cross and feather banding throughout. The moulded cornice over an arrangement of cock-beaded drawers with engraved brass escutcheon plates and handles, and flanked by fluted canted corners with carved Corinthian capitals. The lower section with two long drawers and a shaped apron over cabriole legs with incised line detail, standing on square block feet.
